💬 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
We know choosing a financial advisor is a big decision. Whether you're planning for retirement, or simply want to feel more confident about your finances, it's normal to have questions. Below are some of the most common ones we hear from prospective clients. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to contact us directly—we’re always happy to help.
📍 Getting Started
1. What can I expect during my first meeting?
Your first meeting is a chance for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about your goals, current financial situation, and any questions you have. It's a relaxed, no-pressure conversation focused on determining whether we're a good fit to work together.
2. Will there be a charge if I schedule an initial consultation, whether it’s virtual, in person, or by phone?
No. The initial consultation is completely complimentary, regardless of how we meet.
3. What happens after the first meeting?
If we both feel there’s a mutual fit, I’ll provide a customized proposal outlining the scope of services, next steps, and any applicable costs. There’s no pressure—my goal is to make sure you feel confident and informed before committing to anything.
💼 Working Together
4. Are you a fiduciary?
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, I’m held to a fiduciary standard—meaning I’m legally and ethically obligated to act in your best interest at all times.
5. What types of clients do you typically work with?
I work with a wide range of individuals and families, but many of my clients are public-sector professionals—especially educators and school administrators preparing for retirement with TRS pensions.
6. Do you have account minimums?
I don't have strict account minimums. We’ll work together to determine the best way to engage based on your goals, whether that’s ongoing planning, a one-time consultation, or investment management.
7. Where are you located? Can I work with you remotely?
I'm based in McAllen, Texas, and serve clients across the Rio Grande Valley and throughout Texas. I offer in-person, phone, and virtual meetings, so you can choose what works best for you.

Yes. I’ve helped Texas educators and school administrators understand the TRS system since 2008.
